I. PREAMBLE
The Code of Ethics of KM Technology, spol. s r.o. represents a set of principles that guide us in carrying out our business activities in the field of information technology.
We are aware that technologies and software solutions have a significant impact on individuals, organizations, and society as a whole. Therefore, we commit to acting not only in accordance with the legal regulations of the Slovak Republic and the European Union, but also in line with the principles of professionalism, integrity, and social responsibility.
This Code is binding for all employees, collaborators, and members of the company’s management.
II. BASIC PRINCIPLES
Integrity and honesty
We act honestly, transparently, and responsibly in all business and working relationships.
We do not mislead clients, partners, or colleagues. In case of error, we proceed openly, with the aim of correction and minimizing impacts.
Each of us bears personal responsibility for complying with this Code of Ethics. If we find or reasonably believe that a project, assignment, or decision is in conflict with its provisions, we immediately point it out and actively participate in adopting corrective measures.
Professionalism and expertise
We provide our services at a high professional level.
We only accept commitments that we are able to properly fulfill. We continuously support the professional growth of our employees and ensure the quality, security, and sustainability of the results of our work.
Transparency and trust
We build long-term relationships based on trust.
We truthfully inform our clients about the status of projects, identified risks, and possible limitations of solutions. Internal communication is conducted openly and with mutual respect.

We avoid situations in which a conflict may arise between our personal interests and the interests of the company. In performing our work, we act impartially, professionally, and in a way that our decisions are not influenced by personal benefit, relationships, or other secondary interests.
If we become aware of circumstances that could lead to an actual or potential conflict of interest, we approach them openly and responsibly and discuss them with the company’s management. Transparency in such situations is considered a natural part of professional and ethical behavior.
Public communication
In communication towards the public, we act responsibly and with the awareness that our actions may affect the company’s reputation. We understand that official positions and statements on behalf of the company are provided only by authorized persons.
In public or online communication, we maintain professionalism, respect, and protection of the company’s reputation. Even in personal statements, we strive to avoid situations that could damage the credibility of the company, its clients, or partners.
V. SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY
In the development and operation of solutions, we consider their environmental impact and support the principles of efficient and sustainable use of resources. We strive to design and operate technological solutions so that they are appropriately energy-efficient, reliable, and sustainable in the long term.
In our work, we consider the broader societal impacts of the technologies we create or operate. We ensure that our solutions support the safe, responsible, and ethical use of digital technologies.
We strive for business practices that respect fundamental human rights, democratic principles, and legality. We reject any forms of discrimination, unethical behavior, or misuse of technologies that could harm individuals or society.
We apply a responsible approach also in relationships with clients, partners, and suppliers. We support transparent cooperation, fair business relationships, and an environment based on trust, professionalism, and mutual respect.
VI. DATA AND INFORMATION PROTECTION
Personal data protection
We comply with all relevant legal regulations in the field of personal data protection. We process only the data that are necessary to achieve a legitimate purpose.
We protect the privacy and work contacts of our colleagues. We do not provide colleagues’ contact details to third parties without a clear work-related reason and without their knowledge and consent. This applies in particular to sales representatives, marketing agencies, recruitment companies, or other external entities requesting direct contact to a specific employee.
If an external entity requests contact for another employee, we proceed responsibly: either we refer them to official company contacts, or we forward the offer or message internally so that the colleague can decide whether to engage in communication. Contact details of our statutory representatives and employees are under no circumstances provided automatically.
Through this approach, we protect the privacy of our colleagues, prevent unsolicited communication, and maintain professional and controlled external communication channels.
Confidentiality
We respect the confidentiality of all information entrusted to us.
Source code, business information, access credentials, and internal documents are considered confidential. We do not provide this information to third parties without authorization or legal reason.
Cybersecurity
We ensure secure software development and protection of information systems.
The intentional creation of security vulnerabilities or deliberate ignoring of critical errors is unacceptable. When a security incident is identified, we act immediately and responsibly.
VII. ETHICAL DEVELOPMENT AND USE OF MODERN TECHNOLOGIES
Responsible use of generative artificial intelligence
When developing or implementing solutions using generative artificial intelligence, we ensure transparency, fairness, and appropriate human oversight.
We strive to minimize the risk of discrimination, undue interference with privacy, or unethical use of automated decisions.
When working with artificial intelligence tools, we also protect the confidential information of our company, our clients, and partners. We do not input source code, configuration files, database structures, or other technical materials into publicly available generative AI tools that could reveal the internal functioning of our systems or our clients’ solutions.
If it is necessary to use part of the code or technical documentation for analysis, debugging, or consultation purposes, we proceed in a way that removes or anonymizes all identifiable elements, trade secrets, and sensitive data. We ensure that our procedures do not jeopardize intellectual property, system security, or the trust of our clients.
We consider the protection of source code, technical solutions, and internal know-how to be a natural part of professional ethics in software development.
Ethical user design
We do not create solutions that would mislead, manipulate, or force users into disadvantageous decisions.
Clarity, transparency, and respect for the user are fundamental principles of our system design.
Respect for licensing terms
We respect copyright and licensing terms of third-party software.
We use open-source solutions responsibly and in accordance with their licensing rules.
VII. REPORTING VIOLATIONS
We support an open and responsible culture in which it is natural to report conduct that may be in conflict with this Code of Ethics, legal regulations, or the core values of our company. We perceive such reports as an important tool for protecting the integrity of the company and preventing unethical or unlawful conduct.
If we become aware of conduct that may constitute a violation of rules or legal obligations, we approach the situation responsibly and strive to ensure it is properly reviewed and addressed.
We respect and protect individuals who, in good faith, report potential violations of rules or legal regulations. We do not tolerate any form of retaliation against them and consider such actions to be part of responsible and ethical behavior.

The company reserves the right to appropriately update this Code in light of developments in legislation, technology, and societal expectations.
